‘ZOOM’: local activities about 100 years of Scouting : autumn 2006

In the Autumn of 2006 lot of activities will be going on in villages and cities. In this way local scout and guide groups will draw attention to the anniversary of their movement.

Thinking Day: exposition for former scouts and guides - 22 February 2007

Birthday of both Robert Baden-Powell and his wife Olave Soames. The Belgian scouts and guides seize this opportunity to set up an event for former scouts and guides.

National scout and guide weekend - 27-29 April 2007

From Friday evening 27 April till Sunday 29 April the 160000 Belgian scouts and guides are invited to Brussels. Squares will bubble with enthusiasm, parks will be coloured will all the uniforms. The climax is without doubt the spectacle in the Brussels’s football stadium for all Belgian scouts and guides.

The world Scout Jamboree -  27 july-8 August 2007

The world Scout Jamboree is the main international event of Scouting. It is held every 4 years. From 27 July till 8 August 40000 scouts and guides from over 160 countries will meet in the UK for world’s biggest multicultural camp. Over 1500 Belgian scouts and guides will take part in this unique Centennial World Scout Jamboree.

Scouting’s Sunrise - 1 August 2007

The 1st of August 2007 scouts and guides all around the world will be facing the next century of Scouting. At the highest point of every country scouts and guides will gather at sunrise. In Belgium we will meet at 5.09h at Botrange.
