World Jamboree 2007

The World Jamboree is an international camp that happens every four years, a grand event for 40.000 Scouts and Guides coming from all over the world. Many different activities will be organised for you to enjoy: shows, physical challenges, environmental and scientific workshops and cultural events, debates and competitions…

The World Jamboree is meant for Scouts and Guides aged 14 to 17. Activities are organised by Scouts and Guides from all over the world, called IST (International Service Team). They handle security, catering, first aid, logistics… in short, the overall organization of the World Jamboree. The leaders look after the participants in what will be the adventure of a lifetime.

Where and when do we leave for the World Jamboree ?

In 2007, Scouting celebrates its 100th anniversary. The World Jamboree is a big part of the celebration. That is why it will take place from 27 July to 8 August in England, the birthplace of our movement. Hylands Park, near Chelmsford, offers a typical English landscape. The park is located at 60 km at the North West of London, close to Gilwell Park, the most famous Scout camp in the world.
