Who is going to the world Jamboree ?

Participants and leaders will form troops to go to the Jamboree. A troop is made of 36 members and 4 leaders. In addition to troops there is a large group of IST and contingent heads. All together, they form the Belgian contingent.

The Belgian contingent is made out of the five Belgian Scouting and Guiding Organizations. The five organizations work together under the name GSB (Guidisme et Scoutisme de Belgique, Gidsen en Scoutsbeweging België). We expect 1.300 Belgian participants to the World Jamboree:

  • ‘GCB, les Guides’ – will be represented by 60 participants, 1 troop, 17 IST and 3 contingent heads. More information on www.guides.be
  • ‘Les Scouts’ and the ‘SGP’ work closely as one group for the Jamboree.  Together they will bring 81 participants, 3 troops, 40 ISTand 4 Contingent Heads to the Jamboree. More information on www.lesscouts.be/index.php and www.sgp.be
  • ‘FOS Open Scouting’ will have 192 participants, 4 troops, 30 IST and 5 Contingent Heads. More information on www.fos.be/jamboree
  • The ‘Scouts en Gidsen Vlaanderen’ come with 910 participants, 19 troops, 135 IST and 14 Contingent Heads. More information on http://www.sjors.be/jamboree
  • On top of that 2 GSB Contingent Heads coordinate the overall Belgian participation to the World Jamboree.
